Watford law firm Collins Solicitors is delighted to have won a prestigious UK Legal 500 award for its work representing over 1,400 victims and their families at the Infected Blood Public Inquiry.

The firm has been named “Firm of the Year (outside of London)” for Insurance, for its personal injury work.

The awards highlight the leading lawyers and firms operating at the top of their game across a number of different business sectors.

Collins Solicitors has been instrumental in bringing about the statutory Infected Blood Public Inquiry looking into how and why thousands of people in the 1970s and 80s were given infected blood and blood products, from which thousands have died. Acknowledged as the worst treatment disaster in the history of the NHS, the significance of the Inquiry to those affected and their families, cannot be understated. It has the largest number of core participants ever involved in a public inquiry in the UK and is currently examining millions of documents.
