Family Law

Relationship breakdowns present a whole range of emotional, financial and practical issues. At Collins, our Family and Children Law Team have a wealth of practical professional experience and expertise. We will help you make informed decisions and find solutions that best suit you and your children. We know that at a time when finances can be stretched you will want a cost effective and efficient service.

Department’s work, methods and ethos

Relationship issues of all kinds can be at best stressful and upsetting, at worst, traumatic with emotions running high and finances a major concern. Rest assured though, at Collins we offer an expert specialist service. We are committed to resolving disputes in a constructive, non-confrontational, affordable way. However, when the court process is appropriate we will take effective action.

As a specialist Family Team, we've built our reputation on presenting you with all the options available, guiding you through what can seem like a maze of unfamiliar procedures and working with you to minimize adverse impact on any children involved.

We are Law Society Family Law and Children Panel Members; Members of Resolution; Lexcel accredited (the UK Law Society's practice management standard); holders of the Legal Services Commission Specialist Quality Mark; recommended in the UK Legal 500. Despite Government changes to the scope of public funding in April 2013, we continue to offer public funding to clients still entitled to it.
