Position: Residential and Commercial Property Solicitor

Salary: Negotiable – dependant on experience
Job type: Full time (with a degree of flexible working available)
Start date: As soon as possible

The firm is seeking to recruit a new Residential and Commercial Property Solicitor to head up our small but busy conveyancing team. In addition to running your own caseload you will manage the Conveyancing team, ensuring smooth running of operations. You will have both the support from the Partners, and also the autonomy to develop and expand the department. You will deal with a high quality caseload of sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions.

Requirements

  • You will be a Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive ideally with 5+ years PQE
  • Confident and proactive with experience dealing with a broad range of matters
  • You will be an entrepreneurial and commercially minded individual with an enjoyment of growing business
  • You will have experience of mentoring and supervising more junior members of a team
  • You will be a positive minded individual with strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel)

Position: Personal Injury Paralegals

We are looking to recruit one or two experienced Paralegals, ideally with previous experience in Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence, so that they can hit the ground running. However experienced candidates from other fields who show a keen interest in PI Litigation are also welcome to apply.

Candidate Specification

  • First degree 2:1 or above
  • Commendation or Distinction in LPC or working towards
  • Ideally 1 year of existing work experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Enthusiastic and positive with a desire to contribute to the work of the team
  • Objective and professional in dealing with clients
  • Ability to show empathy but remain professionally detached
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, confident and keen to succeed
  • Ability to talk on the phone and accurately record information on a case management system simultaneously
  • Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel)
