Collins Solicitors is pleased to announce that the firm has been shortlisted for ‘Small Firm of the Year’ by The Law Society at its annual Excellence Awards, 2019.

The Excellence Awards have been celebrating the work of solicitors since 2006 and showcase the best of the profession across England and Wales.

Collins continues to represent over 1,000 victims and their families, as well as a number of key campaign groups, at the Infected Blood Public Inquiry, the largest Public Inquiry the UK has ever seen. The Inquiry was announced in July 2017 and started hearing public testimonies from those infected and affected by contaminated blood products, in April 2019.

All small law firms in the UK are eligible to be considered for this award. The shortlists for the awards can be accessed here

The 2019 Excellence Awards winners will be announced on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The ceremony will be hosted by broadcaster, journalist and writer, Kirsty Wark.

This shortlisting follows Collins’ Senior Partner, Des Collins, having been named to The Lawyer magazine’s annual Hot 100 review of the UK’s leading legal professionals in January 2019, for the second time.

Collins Solicitors was started by Des Collins in 1995, with the national civil litigation practice based in Watford originating from particular strengths in personal injury matters deriving from major rail disasters – including the Watford, Southall and Paddington disasters. The dedicated practice has become well known and highly respected in the legal market, locally and nationally.
